  I was in transit in Colombo on my way to Jakarta and got this hotel to stay, courtesy Sri Lankan airlines. I was totally disappointed. I expected a fancy beach house with a touch of class. But what I got was hotel with an old mediaeval time furniture & likes. The rooms even though clean didn't look very attractive with those old style dark rosewood furniture. In fact the dark ambiance was a bit scary. Same with the reception area and the restaurant. When I reached the hotel it was around 10.15 pm and I was told that the complimentary dinner buffet was closed/over! The chef somehow managed to get for me a plate of rice, dal & cooked potatoes. Thanks to him otherwise I would have had to sleep on an empty stomach. To add to my woes, the air-conditioner in my room was not working. I could have complained and got the room changed, but I was so tired after a very busy day, and it was late in the night and I had just about four hours to sleep, before getting up to catch the next flight, so I just let it go. On the whole, I'd avoid staying at such a place again.

  This hotel was planned to us by sirilanka airline because the waiting between the flight was more than 9 hours. The rooms quite nice and tidy. The breakfast has variety of choices. We are going to umrah and we stayed here for one night. Every thing is convenient due to God's mercy. At the back of hotel, there is beach and you can auto(three wheel motorcycle driver) .by hiring auto with around 10-15$ , he will show the whole Colombo around.

  The location Is really good and the private beach is nice, though the sea is not safe for swimming. There are some good restaurants on the beach just a stroll away. Only a few sea view rooms. The rest are on two long corridors with your own outdoor seating area but they face each other across a courtyard so not private. There is a lot of coming and going at all hours as it's a stopover hotel for airlines with delayed flights etc. Pool looks good but is not clean. All in All, not good value for money and I won't stay again.

  The hotel was a one night transit for me. Firstly, they do say they provide us with light refreshment or whatever that is, but at the end there was no such thing. And they planned to provide that during checking out. The rooms are old, the air condition doesnot work, nor there is any room key system available. It was a hot humid night and it was difficult to fall asleep. The shower does not provide hot water, the flow of water is irregular and the water exit remains closed. The only good thing would be the towels and toilet accessories, they were up to the standard. The location of the place is beautiful, but I personally felt the staff did not show hospitality and professionalism in dealing with the transit passengers.

  Food was quite ok, went for a weekend lunch. Serving time was really long. Pricing was affordable, parking is available. Has decent cleanliness.
