  One of the great efforts of the Dharmavijaya Foundation is to promote vegetarianism. In the past the Dharmavijaya Foundation used to cook vegetarian lunch in their own kitchen and serve and sell the lunch to the public. This was an ideal way to promote vegetarianism and encourage Buddhists to refrain from meat and enable them to purchase a genuine vegetarian meal which is not cooked at home. However for sometime, the Dharmavijaya Foundation in Sarana Road, Colombo is NOT cooking the lunch at the Dharmavijaya Foundation. Instead the Dharmavijaya Foundation is selling and serving lunch prepared by a private caterer. This specific Caterer who serves the lunch at the Dharmavijaya Foundation does not even cook the food, they outsource. This Caterer buys the lunch from various people who live in various unhygienic conditions and packs the lunch into boxes which have the label of the Caterer. This Caterer gives the impression it is lunch prepared by them when actually the lunch is prepared by various other people. This is a great shame and disgrace to us all Buddhists. Members and those in charge of Dharmavijaya Foundation what is your opinion on Dharmavijaya Foundation serving and selling lunch made in unhygienic conditions and trying to give the impression that the lunch is been prepared hygienically by a caterer. Thank you.
