Good room and location but very bad breakfast and internet connection. I'm sure you can find a better guest house.

I stayed at Eagle Wings three times in 2016 and was very well looked after. The new six rooms are very smart. Two minutes’ walk to the end of the lane is a lovely sandy beach with safe swimming. Getting from and to Trincomalee by train is quite easy. Trains from Colombo go via Maho Junction to Batticoloa, so you change at Gal Oya (Galoya) Junction for Trinco. Once there, ask a tuk-tuk driver to take you to French Gardens and Eagle Wings. Although you can go by train to Maho Junction and then go north towards Anuradhapura and Jaffna, going by road is easier. There is a direct bus service between Jaffna and Trinco. Trincomalee has one of the largest natural harbours in the world, famous for its use by the Allies during World War Two. Trips around the harbour and visits to the Dockyard are easily arranged. To book a tour, take a tuk-tuk to the office on the harbour front near the main entrance to the dockyard, making sure you have your passport with you. Your tuk-tuk driver with a guide will take you to various parts of the dockyard area, and to where Sri Lankan navy boats giving harbour tours are moored. A good half day can be spent being shown around the parts of the dockyard area open to the public. As with any Sri Lankan town, there are temples, etc to see. Trinco also has hot wells, the Kanniya Hot Water Wells, where you can copy the locals and pour the hot spring water over yourself. Take a towel and a change of clothes. A Buddhist temple is said to have been nearby.
