  Well maintained railway station. This is the 75th railway station on the main line 271.03 km from Colombo. Ella station is at 1041.1 meters above mean sea level.

  Amazing route from Ella to Kandy. Nice photos and landscapes. If you like 1st class cabin, be advised the windows are fixed close. During high season, tickets sold out pretty quickly: weeks in advance the depart date. If possible, consider purchasing yours at least a month before departure. Local hotels can assist if you want to avoid high internet Travel Agents, " the middle men", fees. As a last resource, if you can't anticipate your planning and tickets are sold out: try to arrive at station 30min before departure time: it is possible to find availability for unclaimed tickets that were purchased in advance. Station has bathrooms, parking lot. Snacks can be found on board(always double check this in advance).

  Calm, cool and beautiful railway station. only one platform. popular among tourists who wish to travel Ella by train.

  It’s was amazing day I just come for 5 hours only but I feel like i have to stay really amazing place with loud music 🎶 and restaurants was open cafes but when I was in Kandy round 7 clock they starting closing all restaurants and cafes but when I was in Ella. I feel and really I enjoy but my luck was not with me to stay there please Friends come to visit to Ella it’s best enjoying place full of music 🎼 in stress free music I love it
