  undoubtedly one of the largest ancient ponds ( Pool ) . its is 3 times in length than an Olympic pool.when visiting Anuradapura this is a must visit place. but unfortunately not much people visit this place and tourist guides rarely take tourist to this place.

  it is 500 feet in length and has a breadth of 150 feet and a depth of 30 feet. it is the largest pond in the sacred city.it has its own filtering and drainage system..
