  Even though the place is not located where google maps suggests, I have nothing bad to say about our stay at the Residency. It is just slightly further down the road from where google maps suggests and a turn up a smaller road to the left before a local shop; ask around or call the owner and you will be able to find it. Even though it might be a bit of a search for the place, it is worth it. The owners made sure we were comfortable and felt at home from the moment we arrived and I would recommend anybody visiting Hikkaduwa who wants to stay in a more secluded space to make your booking here! It is a bit further away from the busy beaches but in close walking distance to more peaceful spots on the beach. It is a comfortable place to stay with a definite value for the price.

  Made a booking and went,called the owner to find the location of the place and he was telling that he cancelled the booking and all,apparently he has given the place to a bunch of foreigners,not recommended at all!

  Not recommended! We made a reservation a week ago for 4 people and when we arrived at the location (which is not accurate on the map) the owner said that accommodation is only available for 2 people at the moment even though we made the booking for 4 people. The owner did not even notify us about the unavailability prior to our arrival. Very irresponsible and unreliable!
