  Nice place to take photos and there's a little beach just down from the lighthouse, so you can cool your feet down after walking around the fort walls

  Historical building. Very famous. It aids all ships and boats to locate galle harbour.

  One of the most scenic historic icons of the former British Empire in Sri Lanka, reerected after a fire in 1939. Getting there by roaming through narrow lanes you reach the lighthouse at the southern end of the Galle fort. Unfortunately, we could not enter the building. It is worthwhile following the tracks around the old fort to see different angles of the lighthouse as well as of the rest of the area.

  One of the iconic places to visit in the historic city of galle. A landmark in its own its easy to spot and reach. Not very crowded you can easily spend some time here clicking photos and enjoying the beautiful views of the ocean. You cannot enter or climb the lighthouse though. One should definitely try walking around and discovering many historical places around the tower too.

  One of the iconic places located within the great Galle Fort. It is very hard to take permissions to go into this and climb to the top. This was built by Dutch governors. Still stands steady. Pleple are used to have sea baths under this. but sea is bit rough there. Lots of parking slots are available.
