  You should stay here. The Green Hill Paradise offers an enchanting little oasis near the heart of Galle with incredibly clean, well-maintained, AC'd rooms and the best food in Unawatuna (atleast the best we tasted). But you should stay here because the managers, Gaya and Chira, have a beautiful, genuine desire to do their absolute best for all their guests. You can’t put a price on trustworthiness, kindness, authenticity, uplifting joy, humility, a good sense of humor and a committed servant’s heart. Gaya and Chira's personalities and character traits refresh you even more than their Paradise's pretty scenes, comfortable rooms and delicious food (which says a lot, since we craved the sandwich they graciously offered after our after-hours arrival for at least three subsequent days). To give you some insight into who they are: whenever we thanked them for their sweetness and diligent care, they just humbly shook their heads and said either, “this is our service,” or “it’s from our heart," and they meant it. Even though they were fully booked, they were the reason my family and I stayed an extra night in Galle. We trusted their word so much we wanted to check out all of their recommendations. So we found a new place to stay, left all of our luggage in their care for them to move as they had offered, and went off on our adventures equipped with their tips concerning everything from appropriate prices to the best places to buy jewellery to local attractions and restaurants. I think one of the greatest compliments I can give is to say that the Gaya and Chira handled everything with such an incredible attention to detail that my parents, both successful American business owners, said that, if they could, they would have found a way to hire these managers for their own businesses. It’s no wonder I left Galle rejuvenated and inspired after just two days spent with them. So my recommendation is: treat yourself and stay at the Green Hill Paradise.

  We were thrilled with the very warm welcome we received at Green Hill Paradise, from the moment we arrived to the moment the lovely couple who run the establishment waved us off. Gaya and Chira went above and beyond in every way--helping us with transportation (Chira even has a tuk-tuk), massages, meals, laundry, and surfing lessons. They were incredibly gracious with our every request, making us feel so at home. Gaya's cooking is delicious and so fresh--we highly recommend the opulent Sri Lankan breakfast and all other dishes! (Even the sandwiches are very delicious and carefully prepared!) There is so much care put into every detail of making the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We slept very well, good AC and mattresses in the room. Refreshing pool to come home to.. Loved seeing the monkeys , beautiful birds and lizards. Great hammocks! We really look forward to coming back!

  Perfect! Fantastic location with a great view. Rooms are spacious, with king size beds that will guarantee a good night sleep in this quiet environment. Everything is sparkling clean. Infinity pool is very relaxing and ideal for cooling down. Lovely couple now runs the place, she is the daughter of the man who build the place. They take perfectly care of you and provide delicious meals. Walking distance to the beach.

  Wondeful place, the staff is friendly and everything is clean. The food is really tasty and delicious! The WiFi is the most of the time good. And it is really quiet, nice! Just the bathrooms are a little empty.
