  Gregory lake is in the heart of hill country Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. Now it's a very popular tourist spot. It's is surrounded with beautiful mountains, buildings, tea estates. Can do water sport activities. Horse ride also there. There is tasty takeout food shops available. Kids activities also there. Best place for family picnic.

  Excellent location for water sports activities in Nuwara Eliya. definitely do a super hi speed jet boat ride. Specially kids love to play around the area and the activities. There are good food outlets.

  Beautiful lake. Does take entry fees of 200Lkr for foreign nationals. Although for boating etc, you need to pay separately. There are wide benches to squat and enjoy the cool breeze. The insides of the park are green and well maintained however on the outside, with hawkers everywhere,it's littered. The other side of the lake seems closed. You can typically spend and 45mins to and hour here. Weekends are very crowded here. However mornings are more quiet.

  Nice place the lake is full of people and it is a very good place to go jet skiing. There is one man u have to safe from he literally wrecks u. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE GLOVES GOSH IT'S FREEZING THERE. suddenly clouds drop and temp goes other 5 degrees
