  I had the most amazing time here, it’s the kind of hostel you never want to leave. Super relaxed and friendly, with loads of activities on offer and right by the beach, you’ll end up staying longer than planned. There’s also an amazing vegan hummus bar which is soooooo good. Loved every minute!

  Amazing vibes in this place! As soon as you arrive you feel part of the family. A lot of solo travelers, mostly very kind. If you arrive to this place alone, sure you will leave it with new friends! :) Perfect location for surfing (just in front of the surf beach). Good yoga classes. Simple but clean rooms. Ps; Mo is a nice host, even if he didn’t make his hummus when I was there ;)

  This place has a wonderful vibe - welcoming, relaxed and genuinely integrative and cosy thanks to Mo, the owner, and his team. Also great Lebanese food and coffee.

  The was our favorite place to stay on the Sri Lankan coast. As soon as you show up it's like you're are a part of this little happy family. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, far enough off the main road sleep peacefully. Right across the street is the main surfing beach in Weligama, where you can rent surfboards. Happy Go Island has a great shared kitchen to cook your own food along with The Hummus Bar which operates downstairs. They serve delicious Lebanese food, a great change up from the local stuff. You won't want to leave this lovely paradise, highly recommend!

  Exactly what I was looking for. Mo, the owner, is super warm and welcoming. Most of the guests were also solo travelers from various places around the world, so the community vibe is great. Dorms and bathrooms are super clean (they get cleaned throughout the day as well as in the morning), and the staff are lovely as well.
