  Serene Haven of Bliss & Rejuvenation ! Just a few miles from the Southern Highway Pinnaduwa (Gallle) Exit, Kahanda Kanda (KK) sits on top of a small hill estate in Koggala. Even though the property is located in a small village residential area, I was surprised to how the hotel is been isolated from the rest of the chaos with the smart architectural design of the hotel including all the main facilities and the villas . Once you enter the property you can totally forget the rest of the world and relax into a feeling of total blissfulness. The main lobby , the dining, and the pool along with the office area are located parallel to a couple of beautiful villas but separated by a large feature wall which provides perfect setup for a private and quite environment for the rooms yet really close to the main facilities. The rest of the villas are scattered withing the estate by allowing them to be lost on their own in the vast estate, making the rooms ideal for holidaying couples, especially honeymooners for their romantic getaway. If you are really lucky like me and my partner who went to KK just for one night, had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owner Mr. George who has done a wonderful job of setting up the property to provide a flawless get away holiday experience for the guests who visits this beautiful property. The staff also reflects the hospitable nature of the owner and seemed well trained for their jobs without forgetting to serve the guests with their lovely smiles and genuine Srilankan hospitality. Our villa ‘Heliconias’ had its own mini pool with sun beds, it’s own well maintained garden and a beautiful bedroom decorated with antiques as well as a open air bathroom. The interiors of the villa was done tastefully with class. There was a collection of lovely teas available in the room as well as a mini bar. We had dinner in the main dining area which was beautifully lit with candles. The three course menu provided a well balanced meal. I had the Fish cake starter which was so fresh and delicious ! As the main course I had the Barramundi which was cooked to perfection and served with leeks and rice. The chocolate tart with coconut ice cream was just the right finishing note to the meal. Hats off to the chef ! we enjoyed a fabulous meal. The owner Mr. George was kind enough to stop by for a short chat even after his long day’s of work. Even though we overstayed beyond the dinner hours the staff were so lovely and never seemed to be annoyed (which is the case in most places I have been) Overall, the day spent at KK was just so relaxing and rejuvenating. We managed to spent a few minutes in the morning doing a little bit of yoga at the beautiful yoga pavilion as well. For anyone who wish to have a total relaxing holiday or a romantic getaway for a few days, Kahanda Kanda is the perfect place! The location is very convenient as it is not very far from the beautiful beaches in the south such as Hikkaduwa and Unawattuna. And the Galle Fort is only a few minutes' drive away from KK. We will definitly be back for another fantastic (hopefully a longer) holiday at KK.

  Can't describe how amazing this place is. Came here for my honeymoon and have zero regrets. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful people. Kahanda Kanda has amazing connections for excursions during the day. The food was also spectacular. It is by far the most romantic place I have ever been. It really comes down to the attention to detail that takes place here. Just perfection.

  Hard to express just HOW AMAZING this place is! Experienced a wedding here and it was beyond incredible. The staff team are lovely and everything from the detail around how the rooms are made up (we had a different flower arrangement and styling on our bed each day), the beautiful food and the setting, pools and views make it a perfect dream wedding spot.
