  We were intending to go to the Chinese Globe but when we arrived there the Chinese staff and Chinese customers were just finishing for the evening although it was not yet 7.00pm. We went to the New Chinese instead which was probably a mistake. We had what was called vegetable chop suey but was actually stir fried veg and quite OK. We had soup which was vegetable noodle and not good and really not Chinese. The staff and customers were not noticeably Chinese but Sri Lankan and some westerners. The food was not especially Chinese not sure why they wanted to try. Mainly they sold bottled beer at a fair price. Sport on TV and a laid back smokey atmosphere made it seem like a place for men to relax. The toilets were not good being smelly and flooded. The kitchen that I saw was not encouraging. We won't go back.
