  Budget accommodation with not that good food. Rooms are big but beds are not that comfortable. Service is okay considering the prices and scale. It would be best if you only use the place to stay and find somewhere else to eat. However, the place is extremely economical to stay when you are travelling with a group of friends.

  The Palm Beach Resort have the worst food that i have ever tried in Šri Lanka. They served me not fresh (spoilt) prawns. Everything is extremly spicy but i said i wanted a little bit spicy!!. And they served me prawns with black head and legs. And even more, they wanted money for that and included to the bill!!! Absolutely terrible and discusting.

  Palm Beach Resort has terrible facilities. The bathrooms are dirty, the shelf and the shower fell apart, the rooms stank like fish and the breakfast was disgusting. Great if you enjoy eight slices of white bread, burnt eggs and coffee/tea served 20 minutes after your meal. We had to wait 12 hours for our towels and linen, too. The windows in the room do not open, either, and the walls are stained. The wifi signal was terrible in our room and on the balcony. The only plus was that the manager was very helpful. ABOUT SUKA THE TUK-TUK DRIVER We made a mistake, thinking that Hotel Sakura was in Nilaveli, so we drove 5.8km with your driver for 1000! That price is criminal. (Normal rates are 50 to 80 Rupees per KM) We Had no choice, but to cancel the booking and drive to Nilavela​, for 1500. We took a bus from Nilaveli to Trico for 20 Rupees!!! Just take the bus, because the tuk-tuk drivers in Trincomalee are all scam artists. Was it my fault for agreeing to pay 1000? Yes. However, we thought we were going to Nilaveli, so when I calculated 12KM, I thought 1000 rupees was a reasonable fare, but to pay 1000 for 5.8km is not only a rip off, it's insulting and it is the impression we have of Trincomalee, a place that is very tricky when it comes to charging tourists. We asked the driver to take us to Nilaveli beach, and instead, he took us to a very expensive beach hotel (7000 Rupees a night). #trincomalee #Suka #tuk-tuk #palmbeachresort #uppuveli #nilaveli

  Such a wonderful restaurant with amazing (!) food and the service is just lovely! The owner changed and I don't know how it was before but THIS is great! Highly recommended!!
