::Free local attraction (which is rare in Sri Lanka). Located on the left side of Mirissa Beach, the Parrot Rock is only a two minutes walk up. Go on low tide if you aren't wearing a swimsuit or if you wanna bring good camera equipment on top. You can have water mid waist at some point. Low tide has barely any water. The way up isnt super safe but you can hold on to what looks like some sort of structure... The view is great and tones of birds hang on top. Really private beach area near by.

::Mirissa Beach had a wonderful sunset. Each evening at sunset Mother Nature offers you something different , subset could be fiery red or pastel pink. The shoreline is blanketed with coconut trees. You can rest in many beach sides bar and restaurants. You can swimming with little children because you can walk out into the water for about 20 meters before the water becomes waist deep. The right side of the Mirissa Beach is where the huge waves break and this area is extremely popular with the surfing crowd.

::Great view over the Mirissa beach area on this small outcrop of land. Visit quick before the entire access route has been swept away by the relentless tidal forces. Lovely spot to see the sunset as well. Be sure to take away you rubbish though as there is already too much on top
