  This was the ancient preaching hall of Jethawana complex used to preach and listen to dhamma. Believed to built during the reign of king Silakala (522 - 535 AD). A sacred text of dhamma (Dharma Pusthaka) was brought to here from the inner citadel was placed here and venerated.
