  First off, the rooms are awesome. Look great with the urban-ish style cement, BUT the hotel (as is many others in Sri Lanka) is located close to a trafficked road, which creates noise. Sleeping is tough sometimes because of this... The owner is great and basically runs the hotel as a one man (actually woman) show. Breakfast is served really late into the day, so if you sleep in you don't have to worry. And to add to that, the breakfast is good too! Had it not been for the road noise this place would've gotten 5 stars.

  Opens up early for a nice pre-surf (good) coffee and post-surf brekkies and/or lunch. There are also vegan options and diaryfree milks. And dailymade nice sweets! We really liked this cosy place :)

  Staff was nice! Coffee was really terrible and the most expensive I’ve paid in Sri Lanka (maybe cuz I got take away?) not sure. Cute place but if your looking for a nice coffee maybe not this joint. Sorry guys!

  Pretty mediocre little establishment. Coffees were tepid, although on the plus they are the only place I've found with alternative milks (soy, coconut milk). The vegetable salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber and large chunks of carrot. Really just under delivers on everything. Service was indifferent. For a place called sun and soul it's definitely lacking on the soul. Many other places offering better food for the same price. Wasn't the worst I've had but I wouldn't bother going back.
