  We had a truly memorable and healing ayurveda holiday at the Villa Velmarie. Caring, friendly but layed back atmosphere, warm hearted staff and very cosy hotel with beautiful garden! Our retreat started with a consultation from a local ayurveda doctor whose diet and treatment advice we followed during our stay. We felt really well and professionally taken care of! The vegiterian food was delicious throughout the whole stay. Cooked by the sympathic and always friendly chef. Thank you! Ayerverdic treatments, like oil massages, shirodhara and steam bath were given to us with experinced and skilful physician. Each treatment left us with a realxed feeling like never felt before. Perfect! Location of the hotel was close to the beach (not for swimming due to high waves), and enough away from the busy main road thorugh Maggona. Quet and realxing. Perfect for relaxed days by the pool or under the shadow of the coconut trees. On top of everything, the staff and the local ayurveda docotor were the people who made the stay so special. We felt taken as individuals and at the same time like friends with with all the hotel staff members. Thank you again for the amazing stay, I hope to see you again!

  Villa velmarie is a very authetic ayurveda experience. The detox pacage was great for a reboot. Yoga vegetarian meals and the threapies were a very relaxing experience natural herbs were used to detox and every thing was expalined so well as a six room villa they can give a lot of indivdiual experience thanks for a grest expereinceq

  Don't have a nice view. Pool is small. The whole villa can be rented for a family get together. Food will be prepared over orders.

  Great small boutique villa to be genuinely cared for in a peaceful and nurturing environment rather than the superficial "pampering" provided by large resort spa service. Tailored ayuverdic food that actually is delicious and healthy, comfortable airconditioned accommodation, more traditional style ayuverdic treatments that can be as challenging as they are relaxing and daily yoga by a sensible, friendly and not too out there yogi by the beautiful pool area. Located very short walk away from a typical small Sri Lankan town and a pretty but not swim safe beach.
