  You can tell the hotel used to be good. Due to the lack of maintenance this hotel has gone downhill. The pool needs a cleaning (water is green). The toilets in the reception area are gross. Restaurant has two menu's: one for locals, one for foreigners: difference of 200 lkr on a meal. Staf is friendly and rooms are clean though.

  I wish i can give zero star to this hotel and let me explain the experience i had at this hotel. we were passing by Dambulla on our way to Trincomalee on December December 7th, 2017, and thought to stay at this hotel overnight. Since there were 3 families traveling with us we booked 3 AC rooms that day. one of the bathroom commode was not flushable and human waste were there from a previous stay. when we complain this situation to the management, hotel worker came to our room check and said "ooh that's just pile of dead fly's in the commode", come on management we are all grown ups who can distinguish different between fly's and human waste. after the lame excuse they then change our room and after 15 mins we figured out the new room AC is broken and had to request for another room. at this stage the management was pretty upset with us and gave another room for higher rate than we originally booked the 3 rooms. Since, it was so late at night and traveling with infants and toddlers we had no other choice but to pay a higher price and stay at this place. all rooms were dusty, bed linens were not definitely being changed and luckily we had some linen that we placed on top of their bed clothes. Advice to the hotel management, please do properly clean and maintain you are rooms. Also train your staff to treat your guest with respect and dignity.
