  Had the most wonderful time in Sri Lanka staying at Anura. Had been in the country for 3 days and had not been enjoying it much, until we arrived here. The place is not as nice as a hotel, but it is a real homestay -- and the family running it is very nice and welcoming. So easy to feel at home. They also have motorbike, bicycles, and Tuktuk available for rent. Sigiriya Rock Fortress is within walking distance, and Pidurangala is just a few kilometers further. Went to both in 1 day, and Anura was a convenient "basecamp" for us. Not to mention the delicious meals and desserts they serve - which was perfect after those treks up those rock sites. Overall, I rate the place 5 stars, not for hotel-like qualities, but for giving us a truly pleasant local Sri Lankan experience we will never forget. Thank you Anura Homestay!

  Clean beds, which was most important to me! You get everything you need, and the chilling area is cool to hangout!

  Could be that what you read in the describtion / see at the pics, if the owners would not be so lazy and dirty
