  Das Aqua Inn Hotel in Trincomalee ist sehr nett direkt am Strand gelegen. Das Ambiente der Bar ist ziemlich cool gestaltet: Schaukeltische, Schaukeln, Liegen und erhöhte Plattformen auf denen man die Aussicht gut genießen kann. Das Essen ist okay und das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt. Auf Hinweis Schilder wird erklärt, dass das Management auf Strohhalme verzichtet um die Umwelt zu schonen. Das ist eine charmante Intention, wird aber leider nicht befolgt. Strohhalme gibt es trotzdem zu fast jedem Drink. Der Service am Abend ist langsam und nicht sehr aufmerksam. Besonders wenn man nicht in Sichtweite der Bar sitzt. Man geht dann halt selbst zur Bar und bestellt. Wir hatten auch 2 Nächte im Hotel gebucht. Unser Zimmer war sehr stickig, heiß und hat muffig gerochen. Das Moskitonetz hatte viele Löcher. Wir konnten nicht gut schlafen. Das Bad war dreckig. Die Fliesen schmuddelig. Man konnte nicht duschen ohne das ganze Bad unter Wasser zu setzen und das Wasser lief nicht gut ab. Neben Mosquitoes und Fliegen hatten wir auch zwei kleine Kakerlaken. Das ist im einzelnen nicht schlimm aber in der Summe war es für uns echt unangenehm. Wir durften die Zimmer ohne Aufpreis stornieren und sind umgezogen. Das war nett. Fazit: Zum Essen und Chillen ein cooler Ort aber eine Übernachtung können wir nicht empfehlen.

  If you like the sound of your own voice, then you will love this place, as you find yourself constantly repeating yourself to get the staff to actually bring your order. A difficult review to write. I will start with the negative and end with the positive: The service is really bad. The staff do not know anything about customer service and are incredibly dis-organised. On at least 3 or 4 occasions, I ordered food that never came. The other times, I had to ask at least twice to remind them of my order. The staff didn't particularly seem to care. The DJ plays really loud music every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday until about 1am. The place was dead and still they had the music really loud. The quality of the food is average at best. The location is great. It is right on the beach. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds really big. The resort is really quirky and we liked the layout. With some proper training on customer service and a decent manager and chef..... this place COULD be amazing. At the moment, it is below average.

  Very nice place, good pricing and good overall atmosphere! Though, so not expect full comfort: foam mattress and noisy AC or really good local food. Not even a decent rice and cury and 40min for pizzas.

  Very good service and great work of the receptionists and staff - always smiling and willing to help! The music in the bar was nice and not loud. The rooms are not a 5 star hotel obviously, but all big and with huge beds. The beach was clean near the hotel.
