::After much debate whether or not to eat at the black pepper or the other seafood restaurant just 10m away. We decided to try black pepper. And the experience was not disappointing. They restaurant ambience is good, not too many people when we were there. We ordered hot garlic crab and Negombo clay prawns curry and they were delicious. The prawns and crab were fresh. The most impressive dining experience was coming from the staff. They are very attentive and took notes on every little thing. We were looked after very well. We will definitely go back when we visit Colombo next time.

::Excellent food and service- can’t recommend this enough. Instead of people queuing up for the ministry of crab, people should try it here which is well worth it and easy on the pocket too.

::The service is excellent. The calamary that we had as a on tray was brilliant. For the mains we had the black pepper crabs with rice some veggies and roast bread. They did bring in a coconut sambol with the roast bread which gave this black pepper crabs some additional gist. Hint, Always better to have the large crabs as they have more flesh.

::Food is pretty average. The black pepper crab was good but the garlic butter prawns, bouillabaisse, and garlic rice was meh. Price was pretty steep too.
