  Place where Henakada Biso Bandara a wife of a ancient king was cremated in around 1361 A.D. and her ash was placed inside a stone casket. She had build large number of temples and places of worship that remains to date; Ambakka Devalaya, Lankathilaka temple, Gadaladeniya, Hindagala Rajamaha Vihara, Wallahagoda Devalaya are some of the famous places. People believe she became a goddess after her death and this place have magical powers. From the time of the kings every year at least Perahara or pageants of 7 Devlays and temples in the area come here and perform rituals in her name to honor her.
