  It is a buddha stature. The majorty of people that live in this area are buddists. So they had build a stature of their believer or their great leader. the maintenance were done by the people live in th area and it is very nicely maintained. Every evening they played a casset of pirith and also for the morning. It is not a visiting place or a temple, but I think it is a kind of traditional thing in sri lankan culture
