::Straight away the owner of the cafe / restaurant produced an impression of a stingy man. He was constantly lamenting the lack of money, which I didn't pay much attention to until these traits of his character began to spoil my life: 1) CLEANLINESS Apart from the hotel in Colombo, this is the only place where we managed to stay in Sri Lanka, and I, after seven months of traveling through Asia, thought that for such a price (namely $13.5 with breakfast included) it was quite a comfortable housing. But NO, I am writing this review from a neighboring gesture for $11 and it's a paradise of cleanness here in comparison with what Siva had. I had to wash most of the dishes in which we were served breakfast, because they were scary to look at. Kitchen and everything in it, even the sponge for washing dishes, was terribly dirty! Even during the moving in the room caused suspicion, I had to clean it myself. 2) FOOD Siva's cooking was quite tolerable, not good, but not terrible either. Nevertheless, with each passing day, the breakfast was getting worse and worse. At first it was an omelet, toast, butter, jam, in the end it was fried potatoes with ketchup. Not exactly what I wanted to see for breakfast, but not deadly. The dishes, though - too dirty. 3) MAINTENANCE As I mentioned above, Siva is a man who is ready to quarrel with anyone over a 100 rupees. That's what actually happened. We wanted to spend three weeks in his guesthouse, the plan was to work and roll around periodically on the beach. For work we needed the Internet. Siva said that he had good Internet, and it was the main reason for renting this place. But, as it turned out, it is not unlimited, in a week and a half of our stay there the Internet was down. We informed our landlord about that. He threw an incredibly turbulent outrage and on the next day he put some money on the Internet, solemnly telling us the amount. Three days later, again, there were problems with the Internet. We decided that we do not want to listen once again how many problems he has, how many brothers, sisters, children and goats he needs to feed (although after we paid for dinner, he immediately ran over to buy a few bottles of beer), and we decided to find a new housing. When we informed Siva about this, he raised his voice at us, told us to get out right now (it was the middle of the night), of course he did not give us the money back (the prepayment covered 2 more nights). P.S. He will stand over you and watch how you eat until you tell him some compliment. Horribly annoying.
