  Most widely accepted fact is that this is the birthplace of King Parakramabahu 1. Top section of this stupa has been destroyed and later removed for the retrieval of artifacts within. These artifacts are put on display in the neighbouring museum. The elephant lamp is a significant artifact which showcases the craftsmanship of that era.

  Built surrounding the labor room where the king Parakramabahu no.1 was born. Not far from A1 main road. Nice and cool place. Good place to relax and enjoy ther environment.
