  This embassy is a joke. To state that this is the oman embassy in sri lanka, they should be fully aware of the rules and regulations of oman visas especially the rules of the family visa. This is because during our vacation to oman , at the check-in the people who checked our passports said that our visas had expired since we stayed in sri lanka for over 6 months. But we later contacted the PRO in oman and asked the embassy in oman and they said this rule only is applied to employees of oman. At the check in , the people called the sri Lankan oman embassy to clarify whether this rule is true or not for employees and family members , but the sri Lankan oman embassy said that it's even a rule for family members of the employee and maximum of 9 months is excused. WE had to go through so much trouble after this. Please do not travel until you clarify the rule of visas from the oman embassy in oman only , don't trust people who don't have any idea with what they are dealing with such as this careless embassy of oman in sri lanka.
