  One day my aunty went to this temple to get a blessed "pirith nuulak" (pirith string). The monk brought her to a cave at the corner of the temple saying: "that place is much Buddha power." After some blessing, while tightening a string around her wrist, the monk rubs her arm and squeezed her hand. The monks at this temple are perverts. Not recommended.

  This is the same nearby place marked as "Henegama Thapowanaya". This place is small, and somewhat OK nature wise, but the head priest Asgirivalpola Sudhassee is a corrupt priest. Look up "archive org" for "kanduboda abuse".

  A very quiet, peaceful and serene monastery in Sri Lanka that's focused on meditation. The Buddhist monks residing and teaching Dhamma at the monastery are extremely pious and caring. Highly recommend a visit if you're in and around the area.
