  This fountain has built in memory of George Wall an Englishman born in 1820 who settled in Ceylon (then Sri Lanka) in 1847 to start sugarcane plantation. Later he moved to Tea and Rubber plantation. He was a member of the Ceylon Legislative Council representing the Europeans and by that time became a famous philanthropist but later he was bankrupt and move back to England and died in 1894. This fountain was built by his friends in Ceylon with a mogul architecture. Fountain is still in good condition at Lipton circus (De Zoysa circus) in Colombo Sri Lanka.
