::Best authentic food store in town! Beside the classics of rice& curry, paratha and Buryiani they offer a really delicious chicken-cheese kottu, the best I’ve ever eaten in Sri Lanka. The people are lovely and gentle and always on the ball! They are more hygienic than most of the other shops in Sri Lanka. I can warmly recommend it!

::Definitely one of the friendliest hotels in Wellawatte! The meals are very tasty (especially Koththu!!). There might be cheaper places but at fayaz you’ll get good quality and tasty food and that’s worth it.

::Hotel de Fayaz is one of the best "Hotels" in Wellawatte (as street-food restaurants are mostly called in Sri Lanka), featuring delicious food, very friendly staff as well as generous opening hours from early in the morning until late at night. What really stands out here is that you can probably get one of the best Kottus in Colombo (vegetarian, cheese, chicken optional), which is one of the signature street foods of Sri Lanka. Nevertheless, I personally prefer other Sri Lankan meals like rice-based dishes, String Hoppers, or Parata together with some Curries, which I can also recommend without hesitation at Hotel de Fayaz. Different types of food are available depending on the time of day: breakfast in the morning, rice and curry from around noon until 2-3PM, and dinner until midnight. Small pastries are served at any time of day. It is true that you can get food for a cheaper price in other (more remote) places, but unlike other reviewers argue, I can't confirm the difference in prices compared to similar restaurants in Wellawatte (especially along Galle Road, which is one of the busiest roads in Sri Lanka). A full meal for three persons including drinks and tea is usually still below or around $10. Highly recommended.

::Better for the price. Cheese kottu is famous.
