  Tips of getting regular visa application 1)It will be easier if you arrange the documents and hand over to receptionist for checking before getting the token. Docs needed for regular tourist visa for first time traveler. Main applicant Application form obtained online. Two 2*2 color photos with white background Photocopies of national ID and passport Bank statement Job confirmation letter Kids Application form obtained online. Two 2*2 color photos with white background Photocopies of ID and passport photo page Copy of parent’s or sponsors Bank statement Sponsor letter No objection letter from both parents Passport copy of both parents Spouse Application form obtained online. Two 2*2 color photos with white background Photocopies of ID and passport photo page Copy of sponsors Bank statement Sponsor letter (Note that photo upload is not mandatory) Since it is regular visa,officials will go to every corner and check for mistakes which is actually a good thing rather than getting visa rejected.I should say their service is good. Get the token and wait for your turn.When number is called, go to counter.The official will further peruse documents and ask to settle payments. For single entry it is Rs 2972 ( Visa fee-2310, Service Fee 42,ICWF fee 470, UNREASONABLE SMS alert charge of Rs150 ) 4) Collect passports between 4-5 pm on weekdays.To process it takes 2 to 3 days. Double entry for 30days is not issued although it is listed in visa fee web page Put all ports if your returning port is not sure. If you have gone SAARC countries insert those info in application.The outside shops will not be responsible if your visa gets rejected besides the fact that their service is good for helping applicants in emergency. For families with kids write no objection letter even if both parents are going.Also sponsor letter to be attached to all applicants other than main applicant. Shops nearby will prepare new application, if any thing is wrong with the application at a cost Rs200. The small place in the basement in Buddhist cultural center is ripping off for photocopies and internet.(Internet for 15 mts Rs 300 photocopy Rs8 for 1 side and highly inefficient service )Never go there.So have extra copies of all official documents. Although contacting them is difficult i was able to call twice and check the status of passports. 5)Collection time of passport is 4-5 pm weekdays only.To collect it quickly, better to be there around 3.45 to get tokenns from security pesonnel at the gate.   People at the centre are kind and helpful. They asked me to change my application form and the person at the gate took me to a house nearby where they would do it, price: 300Lks. Came twice and wasn't really crowd, opening time: 8 30, but it is more around 8 40. Agree about the call centre, they will hardly take your call.
