  We had a very memorable Tour of Sri Lanka recently. I believe there a few fundamental aspects of a private tour: 1. The Chauffeur cum Guide: Should polite & friendly; Should be knowledgeable and be able communicate well; Should be a responsible and safe driver 2. The Transport Vehicle: Should be in an excellent condition and provide a truly safe transportation; Should be comfortable both in seating and internal environment 3. The Hotels : Should provide comfortable rooms ; Should provide good food ; Should offer good facilities 4. The Tour Program: Should comfortably cover the important places around ; Should be impressive ( the tour spots ) ; Should be to the taste & choice of the tourists The first two aspects are under the total control of the tour operators and Jagath Tours & Travels did an exemplary service. Kumara was very kind and polite. Very knowledgeable. The car was just great and suited the purpose extremely well. The third aspect is also mainly in the hands of the tour operator in terms of selection of hotels, doing justice to the money charged . Here too Jagath Tours & Travels did an excellent job and the Hotels selected mostly lived up to the expectations and were very good. The fourth aspect though mainly depends on the tour operator in terms of selection and organisation., and the tourist locations and facilities are essentially in the hands of state tourism. Here too Jagath Tours and Travels did a very good selection and organised it extremely well. Organizing for seniors like us requires special attention, which was well handled. The tourist locations visited were very impressive and well maintained. On the whole I would believe the tour was a success and I offer a score of 9 out of 10. You made it a memorable trip for us.
