  Our group stumbled on Kadolana Eco Village as we were stranded around Balapitiya with an infant at around 7 pm. They quickly gave a cleaned room to the parents and the infant. Then took just half an hour to clean up the other two rooms. They kept the pool open for an extra hour for us. Made a fantastic dinner. The rooms are in very good condition. They have open air showers which we loved. The next day, they gave an amazing Sri Lankan breakfast that proves that they use good produce for the food. They are in the process of building a pier to the river. This would add much more to the experience. Right now, the team works hard to give an excellent service. Keep it up! Will return.

  Located on a small hilltop near madu river gives you a chance to admire the true beauty of the Mother Nature. And don’t forget to spend your eve dip yourself in the pool and see the sunset. Hotel is perfectly blend with the nature and will gives you a brand new experience. It’s a short walk to beach, the staff will arrange you a boat trip in madhu river on your request, and also if you like fishing you can try it too.

  Very nice & cozy place to visit with your family or close friends. Visited with my two best buddies on 17/08/2016. Initially we thought of reserving an A/C room, but when we went there, we ended up requesting a non A/C room (room #7 @ Eagles' Nest) as it was having a very good view of the river and we were getting a lot of cool wind (who needs A/C when there's a lot of cool wind eh..??). Some of the rooms are having a modern architectural design & some are done in an ecological design. (ours was one of the ecological ones) There are boat rides that you can take to see the islands around the "madu river". (which we didn't use, coz our main intention was to have some relaxing time) Rooms 7 & 8 of the "Eagles' nest" are having a good view of the river. There's a lot of mosquitoes during the evening/night. You might want to keep some repellent with you while you stay out. (of course they have mosquito nets in the rooms) The good stuff -------------------- Food is good (the buffalo curd & the coconut treacle was heavenly), cleanliness is up to the expected levels, pool is very nice (better if it was a little bit big), view is awesome & tranquility is at its' best. Need to improve ---------------------- The staff (the manager Mr. Ashoka can be exempted) needs to be a little bit more friendly.

  Really nice place. About 2 hours from Colombo using highway. Walking distance from Andadola Station - so you can take the train if you wish to (or stay at Kadolana Eco and use the train to travel around). The pool is not too big (about 10m) has a kiddies pool as well, great for toddlers. Great view from pool. Good food and friendly staff. Reasonable rates.
