  This place is among most worshipping places in this country. Crowded place most of times, specially for poya days.

  I love the calmness in this place as a catholic guy. and the way it is situated, it makes so eye catching with the view of Kalu Ganga.

  Beautiful Landmark to Kalathara City which is one side face to River Kalu and other sides to Roads and Rail way. Two Bridges seem very beautiful. Inside the pagoda one more. Most of the Buddhist devotees come to worship here. If you travel close by you may feel fragrance of sticks. 🙏

  Spectacular site! Wonderful huge stupa and temple with beautiful views of the surrounding river and railway / vehicular bridges - and no horrifically overpriced (and discriminatory) entry fees and touts. So serene! A must-visit place!

  One of the most greatest buddhist religious place in sri lanka. Very large vehicle parking area available.( Parking fees for car/van/three wheel/jeep-- Rs.30.00)
