  Kannankudah is a small village in the west of Batticaloa, along the lagoon-side. Entrance to this village is this Kannaki Amman Kovil and Pillaiyaar Kovil which welcome the visitors spiritually. The kovil have the devine power of Kannaki amman and hence during the festival season in May-June, huge number of people come to this temple to pray.
