  A pond which is considered to be sacred. It's situated closer to the sea. Hence the surrounding is highly attractive. Not very hygienic to bath in the pond, even though many hundreds do it every day. Nevertheless, a sight to behold. Specially the reef extended to the ocean.

  This is one of the very wonderful pond in hindu temple which located near naguleshwaram temple. There is amazing view by sea, trees and temple. This is traditional and historical place for hindu people. Most of the people come do such rites for died people in this pond. Most people bath in this pond for devotion, other some younger generation come and bath for fun and other few guilty people come and bath for destroy own sins done by them. Peoples believe that feel as sanctity after bath in this pond. The history of this name that a man with mongoose (Keeri) face who bath in this pond and get human face. Therefore called as KEERI (Mongoose) MALAI.

  Good place. Nice views. But the water was too dirty to have a dip.

  Very important historical place in jaffna. The pond has fresh water even it is few meters away from the sea.

  Nice pool there , you can bath in sea also but the under the water lot of stones there
