  In this railway station, all the trains are stopped. so passengers are able to get on and off here. And it have enough space for large number of passengers.

  A station on the Nothern Railway Line. This was not not functioning from 1990 to 2013 due to disturbances in the area.

  Nice and Clean station. All trains from Colombo stops here. Easy get Tuk Tuk (Three Wheeler /Auto , In Sri lankan Term) in front of the station as there will be three or four waiting to meet the passengers from Colombo Trains. You can book tickets for Colombo from here. There is a Co-op shop (see picture) in front of the station for quick grocery purchase and small eatery (have not tried to comment on ) with basics.
