It’s okay it’s not awesome despite the reviews. Had some seriously undercooked pork belly the fat hadn’t rendered down at all. Yakitori had no sense of char. Good flavour sauces. Tuna nigiri was well made but surprisingly the tuna just didn’t really taste of any flavour. Service was friendly but poor/inattentive no offer of drinks through the meal, waited a long time for the bill even when asking. I didn’t dislike the place and some things were good but everything just needs more care. Price was fine.

Great food and the best thing is there is no fee to bring your own booze. The crowd that frequents the place is generally pleasant and brings their own wine or liquor. Generally a great location to go to. Reasonably quiet on weekdays but very busy on Fridays and Saturdays.

The food and ambience was great. We were a group of 5 that went late at about 9:45 and they were kind enough to accommodate us. The last order is at 10:30 and they have a BYOB policy which is ideal if you want to save. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections with the upstairs reserved mostly for parties. The chicken nan ban is a must have as the meat is fried in a really light and delicate batter. The California roll is surprisingly light despite its heavy appearance. As for the main course I had the beef don which was tender pieces of beef with sticky rice and garlic chips. The food was amazing!

Had a fantastic experience. The food was the most authentic Japanese food that I've tried in Colombo (even the soy sauce taste very similar to the originals I've had in Japan). The staff was friendly and attentive, also they can speak Japanese to order (if you want to practice your language skills) which gave me the feeling of being in a restaurant in Japan. You can have a very private table (for a date) or a counter table (if you want to dine alone). And every time I go there, the experience is better than the last!
