  I stayed here for a month and this is a very nice and pleasant place. The hosts are wonderful and very friendly. The rooms are very clean. You can use a shared kitchen, hot water shower (apart from one in a room) and terrace. It's quite calm and quiet place, only sometimes you can barely hear some prayers in the morning. I would recommend everyone who is looking for a not expensive but pleasant place to stay in Weligama.

  This hostel is absolutely superb, one of my Sri Lanka favorites! Layback doesn’t feel like a typical hostel, it feels like a home away from home. Thilina, the owner, created an easy going atmosphere and both he and Lora make sure you feel welcome and at ease. Thilina is very attentive and always willing to help and share his local knowledge about food, surf tips and tricks, things to do and so on. He’s also a great and patient surf instructor so make sure to book a lesson with him and catch some great waves! In short: Super clean Exceptional value for money Great location Beds are very comfortable (and probably the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka) Perfect WIFI connection Spacious rooms (no ac necessary, the fan works perfectly)

  Very nice guesthouse with a lovely host. Close to the beach and perfect if you want to surf or get to know the local people. Very clean en calm.
