  My wife and I spent about two weeks in Leelas Homestay during our 4 weeks Sri Lanka trip in March/April 2014. The place consists of a fully furnished, western standard (kingsize beds, A/C, kitchen, bathroom w/ hot water, TV, washing mashine etc.) super clean 2 bedroom appartement and a double room with private bathroom (hot water) and offered by far the best value for money of our entire trip. It's located in the quiet and beautiful village, about 5 minutes walking distance to the main beach, bars, restaurants and surfbreaks. Leela and her family are super nice and speak great English so they could help us out with anything from renting a scooter to organize trips to the national parks, bus/train tickets a visit at the doctor and so on. Her son Mangala has a huge knowledge about Sri Lanka and offers driving and guiding services with his A/C 9-seater minivan to/from airport, temples, national parks, the east cost etc. for super fair prices (besides that he is the best driver we came across in SL which was absolutely priceless). On request Leela prepares great Sri Lankan food ... e.g. the best Rice and curry of our trip for my wife's birthday. We'll definitely be back soon!!
