  5 stars for the fish dishes , pizza and pasta. But minus stars for the burgers and shawarma.

  The location is great, the food is passable. The service is extremely warm and welcoming. They have a kind of bandstand for live music, which elevates the restaurant from good to superb. The live band is on the street practically allowing passers by to stop and listen and shake a leg if they so desire! All in all a lovely place to sit and while away an indolent evening.

  Spent 2 nights in Negombo as our last destination in Sri Lanka before departing. As we were located on the “strip”, Lewis Place with many many hotels and restaurant options, we spotted the ones we would try. This one wasn’t one of them, however, we were kind of forced inside here because our 1 choice was completely booked, second and third closed due to a holiday and other options was just not attractive that night because of the busy traffic on the strip. Well, if you can call a mega traffic jam with hundreds of idling engines being busy traffic? Anyway, it was not pleasant to sit anywhere near that road so the Mad Dogs offered some sort of shelter because it is inside. Ok, now to the point. Yes, the food was OK’ish, but nothing very interesting and too mainstream. It call itself a modern tapas bar, and are trying to radiate “high class” cooking. It just doesn’t get there and that is their fall down.

  Nice place to sit and take a drink. The have a good ice cream.

  Had some pizza and mocktail. Place is way much rich though the prices are low compared ti the brand name. And the pizza was extremely delicious. Service is high classed. Classy ambiance.
