  One of the main station in sri lanka. Unfortunately there is no train time table in side the station. It's not easy to identify the trains that are coming and where it's stops. Coz some time they are not announcing.

  Second largest station. lot of trains are traveled through this station. There are 10nos of platform. There are toilets for both male and female, canteen at 5 and 6 platforms. Every matara and galle trains are started from here. Times table of trains are available at enterance.

  A good way of travelling. But sometimes trains get delay. But it is easier than using buses because of free traffic.

  Transit available for any part of the country. Train service stations also there attached to the Maradana railway station. Very old building. One of the very busiest stations in the country.

  Busiest railway station after Fort. Quite fair facilities. Have a time table board displayed at the entrance. Most of the architecture belongs to british colonial era. There are 10 platforms. Tickets and passes are checked when you leave the station. Staff is not that much friendly. Downsouth trains are starting from this station.
