  Dating back to era of 1800, the available deed starts at 1856. The temple is one of the oldest and powerful one with many miracles and wonders surrounding main deity Sri Muthu Mariamman. Time and again, people from foreign countries would come and find that there have been brought in to serve a specific purpose for the temple. In the last Kumabishekam held in 1992, 8 noble priest from India, walked in uninvited and completed the rituals and walked away. From the day the the 1500Kg Kali statue came into the temple, more miracles were seen by the devotees. The deity shares Masi Maham with Sri Kaleshwarar at Captain Garden's tempe. Miraclus donations happen between these two temples at critical times as if ordered by the god himself.

  One of the famous sacred place for colombo Hindu devotees. Small in structure though.
