  It's one of end points of Sri Lankan railway.Very calm and cool.No more stations after Matale in Kandy and Matale route.Picturesque sight.

  This railway station is cool and calm, not much crowded, limited trains only good option to travel Kandy. This station is one of the end points, usually it take 1 - 1 1/2 hours to travel Kandy. This station is situated Matale town itself. This railway station staff is doing an extraordinary service to the passengers as they have free library at Station for passengers to read while they are waiting for train.

  End of kandy - matale railway route. Calm place. You can travel kandy , Nawalapitiya, and Colombo from this station.
