  it was a lovely experience. the crew was very helpful. we had five sightings of a whale. we were served delicious snacks and my friend was seasick but very well looked after. all in all one of the memorable experiences in srilanka

  By far the worst experience we had in Sri Lanka. Usually I don't write bad reviews but this really needs to be shared: Ths weather was really bad today but they told us 'we can still go. We take a bigger boat, which costs 500 Rupies more, and then we go. If we don't see whales, you'll get half of your money back.' So we started the trip at incredibly rough sea. We constantly got wet. They started to give us breakfast which was packed in paper. You can imagine that the paper didn't even last 1 minute. There was so much water on the boat that you also didn't know where to put stuff. After 1 hour, 18/20 passengers were threwing up because of the rough sea. Also the captain didn't really know how to handle the waves to be honest. After 2 hours we went back to the harbor because it was just not possible to enjoy this day. Everyone was sleeping in the lower level in order not to vomit anymore. I stayed awake because I still hoped to see whales or any other sea animal but nothing at all. We took off at 7 and arrived at 9. They promised the trip will be at least 5 hours and max 8 hours. We only went for 2hours because of the unbearable situation. Long story short: we didn't receive any money back. The only thing they offered us was to come back tomorrow to have the same trip again. Not an option for us as we're continuing to travel through the country. We had long discussions with the guide and the boss of the company but no success at all. Everyone, be warned. This is classic cheating. We paid 6500LKR for NOTHING at all. I see that you can get really lucky with them but if things don't turn out as expected, don't hope to get anything from them or don't think that you can discuss with them. They will take the chance to rip. You. Off.

  Amazing tour. Best whale watching in Sri Lanka. Great Captain and crew. Great boat

  It's a wonderful trip. Captain is so nice and staffs serve very warmfully. It's a lucky day for us. We see a group of dolphins and a blue whale. The captain let us see the whale several times and longer than other boat. It's a good trip for us.
