  Active strech of sandy beach, close to all the action Hikkaduwa has to offer, yet calm and quiet to take a peaceful break, for those who prefer. Plenty of beach restaurant, beach hotels to choose.

  Surf beach south of Hikkaduwa. Laid back atmosphere. Lots of tourists, but beach is big enough so it doesn't feel crowded. Lots of places rent surf boards, waves seem good for beginners.
