  Kumarakanda beach is simply beautiful, clear waters, and the most important thing, not overcrowded. The hotel is situated 4 km away from Hikkaduwa, where are the restaurants,shops and nightlife, but you can always catch a fast and cheap tuk-tuk and get there in 5 minutes. The great staff from Nico Beach can arrange tours for you, airport shuttle and provide taxi services. The bus and train station are situated near the property, and are very cheap, safe and great ways to discover the surroundings. A bus ride is a must do in Sri Lanka. If it's not cloudy you can have a unique sunset in front of your eyes, from the hotel terrace. Delicious breakfast, a pot of coffee, and fruits every morning. Edgar the manager and Manju will do anything for you to have a great stay and can provide a lot of informations about transportation,day trips and surroundings . We have spend 10 days at Nico Beach, we've been to the most beautiful beaches in southern Sri Lanka from Bentota to Tangalle riding local buses, we ride tuk-tuks every night(life), we made new friends,and we enjoyed the beautiful clear waters, waves, and sandy beach in front of the property staying away from those overcrowded big hotels nearby.

  No basic amenities such as bottled water, kettle, tea, coffee powder or even a mini bar(they have a refrigerator that's empty!). No shower gel or shampoo or anything really. The electricity in our room.kept going off in the middle of the night so we had to move rooms at 2am (how lovely!).The only good things about the hotel are that the property is right on the beach, the rooms are clean and staff is friendly.

  Nice location and very friendly staff keeping the kids happy. Nishanti and Manjoo were 2 very good blokes. Ocean side was clean and relaxing
