  This is the beach where the locals go. Very nice beach in two directions. The main factor making this beach so popular is that there is a reef just off the beach minimizing big waves and strong currents unlike most beaches in Tangalle. You may find shade under the trees. Very simple changing rooms and showers for 20 rupies as well as local vendors of beverages, snacks and toys in the parking area. No sun beds, no umbrellas. Just a great litte beach on walking distance from Tangalle centre.
