::DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! The absolute worst place to rent a car. We paid Rs.10,000 to go to nuwara eliya and he gave us a Toyota axio, and the same day we got rear ended! Which was in no way our fault. The car was in traffic and a van rear ended our car. The owner, Arul, took a Rs.15,000 from us before we rented. We signed no agreement saying that he would take that deposit in case any damage was done to the car. The receipt said the following : "When return the vehicle if its under washing and cleaning condition Rs. 700 will be charged" and "For cancellation one day rental. Will be charged". Those was the only two agreements which were signed upon. After the accident we called Arul and told him the incident, because he instructed us that if we met in an accident to call him first and he also instructed us to say to the insurance company that we were driving a friends car because otherwise he wouldn't be able to claim the insurance. After he came he spoke to the insurance company and just took the car back to his office, he didn't even wait for the police to arrive, and he asked us to come the next day and said that he'll give us a different vehicle. So we went the next day but Arul wasn't there, his employee showed us another car, and he called Arul to ask the amount of the car, whether it's the came Rs.10,000 package or not, and Arul said that he's close by and he'll come. After he came Arul started arguing with us saying that he wants more money cuz the insurance isn't covering it and it'll take a month to fix it and then he changed his story and said that he'll get it claimed by the insurance and get it fixed within 2 weeks but it'll be a loss for him since the car won't be able to be given for rent and he wants us to pay an extra Rs.25,000 in addition to our Rs.15,000 deposit. He said that if we don't give that we'll have to go to court and go to the police. He kept saying that we'll have to go to the police over and over. Why is it our responsibility to pay after we got rear ended. He can claim it by the insurance. There was no agreement signed at all! So why the hell would we pay Rs.25,000 for something that's not our fault.

::Cheap and excellent service. I ended up leaving my phone in the car when returning it, the owner returned it to me n the middle of the night at great personal inconvenience to himself. We had shopped around for the most competitive prices and chose these guys, the fact that they offer excellent customer service was a bonus. Might be also worth noting that they operate from a yard on the colombo road near the Koppara Junction and not the address noted here.
