  Not a great experience. The house is lovely but lacks the finer details to be called a boutique hotel. There is no fan or mosquito net in the rooms despite it being advertised. It felt more like an (expensive) homestay especially because we never felt like we had much privacy at all particularly at meal times where the well meaning staff would hover and make us feel uncomfortable especially if we didn't finish our meal. The worst part was that during two meals on our second last day we were pestered for payment despite the fact that it's customary to pay for the stay/meals upon check out. The food was average, microwaved and over cooked. The shower was not clean which I was willing to overlook because of the charm of the place but after we used the fridge in the shared kitchen and saw how food (raw chicken pooling at bottom of fridge) was being stored, I realised that the uncleanliness was a common theme. The wifi was slow and worked intermittently. we spent two evenings in after exhausting days out but the Tv didn't work on either night. Overall not worth the money or the effort to make it out there.
