  Manresa Retreat house managed and maintained by Jesuit Priests. Mainly Jusuit Novice brothers stay there. There is rooms with common wash room facilities. Ideal place for residential workshops. Rooms are basic. Meals available at reasonable price. Enough and free parking space is available. Compound is pretty clean and silent atmosphere.

  Manresa Retreat House is situated at Veppadithurai of Pillayaradi SPO, three kilometres North of Batticaloa. It is a 57 Acre campus adjoining the Batticaloa Lagoon with woody trees, chirping birds and the Singing fish with ample space for tranquil walks. The name “Manresa” has a highly revered and endearing value for the Jesuit family. St. Ignatius had a transforming spiritual experience in a cave close to the little village of Manresa. The Batticaloa Manresa Retreat House desires to give this transformative experience to people who come to this centre, by means of silent meditation, informative seminars and workshops. The broacher that announces the year’s programme, which includes various retreats and seminars, is available with the Batticaloa Jesuits.
